Bühler Aeroglide appoints new head of process engineering

Heat treatment engineering and technology services provider Bühler Aeroglide recently appointed Jason Pintuff as director of process engineering, the company said in a press release this week. Additionally, the company has appointed Tom Barber as the new Vice President of Capital Sales.

As Director of Process Engineering, Jason Pintuff will lead the process development group of Bühler Aeroglide, a growing competence center that helps start-ups design winning products, combined with system reviews and training aligned with global laboratory and innovation resources.

Pintuff joined Aeroglide in 2005 as a Field Engineer and was subsequently appointed in Process Engineering to serve the feed market as an Application Specialist. In 2011, Pintuff began supporting sales for the food and feed industries and most recently served as Regional Sales Manager and then Director of Process Development.

“These appointments will strengthen our global long-term growth strategy,” said Andy Sharpe, Chairman and CEO of Bühler Aeroglide. “Tom has a deep understanding of our business as it grows in scope and complexity, and Jason is well suited to direct process engineering so that our customers can successfully operate food, food and industrial processes. ”

As Vice President of Asset Sales, Barber will lead sales strategies and market development initiatives for the full range of Bühler Aeroglide equipment and services.

Barber’s 23-year tenure at Bühler began as Market Manager for the Grains, Pet Food and Aquaculture Feed businesses, followed by Regional Manager, before an appointment as Global Vice President of Sales for Bühler’s Pasta and Extruded Products business unit in Switzerland. Barber then served as vice president of global purchasing for Bühler Aeroglide and most recently vice president of process engineering. Barber has published over 25 articles and textbook chapters on the heat treatment of food, feed and industrial products, and holds two US patents and one European patent.
