New CEO for £ 47million electrical and mechanical engineering contractor MechFS

Fast-growing mechanical and electrical contractor MechFS has a new managing director.

The £ 47million company has welcomed Mike Kendon to the helm as Paul Sutherland takes over as chairman.

The 12-year-old Doncaster company, which will soon be relocating to a new headquarters in Bawtry, provides design, installation and maintenance solutions in commercial and industrial buildings.

Mr. Kendon is described as bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge as a “seasoned executive whose professional experience includes business development, corporate mergers and acquisitions, management and finance”.

He holds a Diploma in International Business and an MBA from Henley Business School, and joins MechFS after a successful period as Managing Director for North America at Soventix, a German company focused on development and engineering, procurement and construction of renewable energy projects in international markets.

He said: “I look forward to putting my skills and experience to work for MechFS, which continues to expand its position in the built environment sector. MechFS has steadily grown by ensuring that it is the leader in the field of the use of technology, increasing its established reputation in the fields of mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, procurement and installation – all thanks to an unmatched customer service ethic. I look forward to working with the team that achieved this goal and contributing to the continued growth of the business, including strategic options to improve and further develop the business of the business.

The larger group, NHN Holdings, has just seen sales reach £ 73.5million. Mech FS operates from offices in Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and an international company in Germany.
