SHE Advisor – Railway/Civil Engineering
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced SHE Advisor to provide advice and guidance ensuring continuous improvement of safety, health and environmental performance and promoting a positive and collaborative safety culture.
Work closely with management and supervisors to provide support in the safety, health and environmental aspects of their work. This includes conducting site visits, assisting in the preparation of safety and environmental documentation, and monitoring site performance. Administer the safety, health and environment requirements of the management system framework to ensure corporate compliance.
Ensure management system framework safety, health and environment requirements such as manuals, standards and integration into business processes are such that a consistent approach can evolve , improve and be integrated into core processes and activities to deliver improvement in capabilities and performance to maintain accreditation to current ISO requirements.
Maintain knowledge and awareness of new or changed legislation, Rail Group standards and company standards as they relate to SHE and ensure that any new or changed legislation is reflected in the procedures for work.
Lead and manage the investigation process that will support the implementation of behavior-based safety learning and its effectiveness in improving knowledge and learning to reduce the likelihood and impact of events.
Provide management information, analyze and prepare information to help management make informed decisions, which will improve the management of safety, health and environmental risks.
Develop, maintain and review risk assessment and COSHH processes, including compiling workplace noise assessments and providing information to project management for hand-arm vibration and whole-body vibration monitoring.
