Wipro Infrastructure Engineering’s industrial automation business announced Thursday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PrecisionAutomation and Robotics India (PARI).

The combined capabilities of Wipro and PARI, an industrial automation company, will broaden its offering, expand its global presence and strengthen its ability to forge deeper customer relationships in India and abroad, according to a release from Wipro.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Created in 1990, PARI is a major player in industrial automation in the country with a strong presence abroad.

The company has deployed more than 1,500 automated systems worldwide to more than 75 global customers, the statement said.
